Attended PLC meetings for 3rd grade

Prepped MAP Science conversation with 5th grade and made this document.

Attended 4th grade Science where kids were working on Circuits.  I then introduced MAKEY MAKEYS

Participated in Science lesson on Sand, Silt and Rocks.

Wrapped up with some Social Studies in Kindergarten

Wrapped up the day with Science Vertical Team

3/25 Avery Arcade, WGHS

Started the morning with Hixson Middle School and the students at the Hixson Arcade.  We packed up the games and headed over to Avery.

Headed back to the office to:

1. Work through email (100+)
2. set up 2nd year teacher meeting(s)
3. finalized 2nd year teacher location
4. set up meetings for the week.

Met with Discovery Education and Assistant Supt to discuss Techbook.

1/15 Avery, Hixson, Flip Teaching

Started the day at Avery Elementary.

Helped a student practice typing and vocabulary words.

 Checked out a family graph in Kindergarten, also chatted during brunch.

 Checked out a 3rd grade class working on researching Harriet Quimby

 Observed some AIMSWEB testing.

Enjoyed a Science/Poetry lesson in 4th grade

Watched some Light conversations in 4th grade

Checked out 1st grade conversation about descriptive writing

Headed over to Hixson to work on giving feedback to 20% time projects.

10/8 Avery, Clay, WGHS, Edgar Road

Spent the day at Avery Elementary.  Teachers signed up for specific meeting here.

I met with kindergarten teachers regarding itunes accounts.

I read to Kindergarten. (That was awesome!)

I went to Clay elementary for the gardening field trip with 3rd grade.  See images below:

Checked out a few classrooms.

Attended a reading team on KING TUT

Wrapped up the day by:

• Helping plan PD on the 1/2 day tomorrow
• Picking up a camera and dropping it off at Edgar Road.

8/16 MAP data day

Worked on MAP data for the majority of the day

Finalized District data and data by school.

4/5 Hixson, Avery, Edgar Road

Started the day at Hixson,

I helped students load their games into a box truck

We took the box truck and two buses of students over to Avery for the Hixson Arcade.

Went back over to Edgar Road afterwords to work on:

• Finalizing schedule for next week
• Plan Hudson Vertical teaming
• Work on Collaborative space
• Emailed Clark about inventory day

Then met with Webster University Undergrads and prospective students as a part of a Alumni Panel.

I spent the day at Avery check ing out Science and Social Studies...

I saw a 5th grade lesson on World War 1:

I went to all the 5th grade classrooms to set up the Rotting Log terrarium:

 Saw a 1st grade lesson on Goods and Services:

Saw a reading/social studies lesson on regions:

I then went back to Edgar Road to meet with a social studies facilitator.  We went over Facilitator meeting 3 notes and discussed the Missouri Unit.

1/30 Edgar Road, 6th Grade Science

Emailed parent about missing rocks in a 2nd grade kit.

Planned 6th grade Science after school meeting, made copies and agenda

Created and submitted POs for Summer Purchases.

Set up meeting with Social Studies Coordinator at Parkway

Called Missouri Botanical Garder to learn more about Foodology.

Finalized EdcampSTL evaluation

Met with Library/Technology Coordinator to learn about how to access the catalog and how to search for materials in the Social studies kits.

Emailed SS facilitators to update them about the SS kits in every library (or missing from a library)

Emailed 5th grade Chemical Interactions team about 1st draft of student packet.

Went over to Steger for a 6th grade Science team meeting:

10/30 Edgar Road and Avery

Started the day at Edgar Road.  We discussed rating learning goals, determining the difference between learning goals and objectives and wrapping ti up with how a learning goal influences student experiences.

Went over to Avery afterwords:

• Met with Ms. Davis Re: Social studies facilitators
• Met with Mr. Barbe about the server and science resources
• Saw Ms. Fitzgerald's class work on American Revolution Projects

• Walked through other rooms just to see what's going on...
• Wrapped up the day playing a numbered pair game with Ms. Londa and Haug.
